Pc turns off immediately

Go to solution Solved by Jordan1417,

You can short the green and black pins on you PSUs 24pin connector to turn it on while unplugged from everything else to test that alone too :)

Edit: NVM glad you got it working :)

Turns out it's the power outlet. Stupid me should have thought of that.

I made this same post yesterday and got some advice that it was most likely my power supply. Well I am posting this because I videotaped my problem. Basically I was on my computer yesterday watching YouTube, then all of a sudden my pc shuts down fully without a blue screen or anything. And now when I turn it on this happens. https://youtu.be/cKXan_EK0Go in the video description I have my pc specs listed so tell me what you think. I don't have a extra psu to test and my local pc repair store will not help. So if I buy a replacement psu, I want to make sure that I ordered what was wrong and don't end up wasting my money. Thanks!

This may seem stupid, but check your motherboard for damage. I had to RMA my board because I was getting that problem when a capacitor fell off.

I'm a fucking AMD kawaii weeaboo desu I have seen the light

Its tough to say for sure, it seems power related but it could be a short/damage on any main component causing it, it probably is the power supply stopping the PC but that doesn't mean its the cause of the problem. It looks like the PSUs OCP or OVP kicking in however if they get triggered they often need you to cycle you PSUs power, although that does depend on implementation.

More testing is the only thing that can get you a definite answer sorry to say, you could try removing components and seeing if it will boot i.e. start with the GPU, then memory then CPU (easiest to remove to hardest).

I don't see any physical damage to the motherboard, although, it could be since I do pack this pc around often.
