Struggling Mightily to Pick New Monitor(s)

the1andonlypz

I went out and bought a 27" Samsung Curved monitor over Memorial Day weekend, and it's fantastic, sooo, what's the problem you ask?

I can't help but think I can get more bang for my buck. At $380, the price was quite steep for a 27" 1080p monitor with a 60hz refresh rate. Although, the 4ms response time is quite impressive for an IPS screen, and I must say, everything I've done on the monitor has looked absolutely stunning. They don't lie when they say it feels more immersive.

I've started to do a ton of research, and now I know all about refresh rates, response times, 4k, 2k, WQHD and every other freakin monitor related tech talk I knew not of a week ago.

So I've looked around Microcenter (been there 4 days the last week) and I've boiled it down to three options, this is where you come in.

1. Samsung 27" Curved 1080p - Come to grips with the higher price tag and keep the Samsung monitor, something I know will be quality based on the name alone.

2. Asus PB278Q 27" 1440p - I need to know first if my Radeon HD 6870 could actually handle this before dishing out the $430 this is tagged at.

3. Asus VN247H-P 1080p (x2) - I really fell in love with this monitor at the store. The super thin bezel is awesome and the picture looked pristine. Lack of DVI is a bummer, but otherwise I liked this a lot, and at only $180 each, I could afford to go with 2 of them.

I do prefer to buy from Microcenter because their no hassle return policy is right up my ally. If I'm not happy with how the monitor looks, I can return it without restocking fees, and without questions.

I appreciate anyones help, I've been stressing wayyy too much for a simple monitor buying adventure lol.
