3 things...

You don't need a 1200W PSU, unless going for tripple titans or more,

It's not a very balanced build (you havn't stated usage)

In that price-range I'd be looking at sli 980's and a larger and faster SSD

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Would i be better changing the GPU for a SLI configuration.

Plan on using it for gaming and some photo editing but would like some future proofing.

Budget is about £3500.

Your going way over what you need..

I would say Spend £1500 - £2000 and save the rest for a future buy.. There is no future-proofing at the moment. The chipsets and sockets for the CPU changes and then it's a full build.

I would say get an 850W decent PSU, a z97 board and a 4790k & 16-32GB ram (if small size and number of editing, 8 is fine) with a 500GB ssd and 2 HDD's (make them mirror each other for data security, Also have external for back-ups) and a single 980..

Then in about 2-3 years get a new graphics card.. In a further 2-3 years replace the whole thing. Cost the same, perform pretty much the same (for your usage) and last longer on the same budget.

It may look like the price is higher on this build but the other didn't have a price on the monitor.

That is usually one way to empty your wallet. You do get what you pay for with some items. Other things are just overpriced.

Are you going to be building this pc yourself ?

That total price is way out when you click on the link. You are still under budget, but the total is £2.9K rather than £2.1K. For some reason the monitor hasn't been included in the price.

I would go with something like this.

The i7 4790K is a great all round cpu. If you look at gaming benchmarks you will see that it matches/beats the 5820K in most games. By the time a 6 core cpu is standard for gaming then things will have moved on anyway. There is also a '2 for 1' offer on Gigabyte Black edition boards that lets you swap the board for a new one within 3 years.

See here - http://bk.gigabyte.eu/EN_bk_UK_Ireland.html

There is also a cashback offer if you buy a cpu/board bundle - https://toptechcashback.com/uk/en/pages/cpumb/qualifying?utm_source=Overclockers+UK+Newsletter&utm_campaign=4c4a227cf4-Intel_Cashback_CW215_22_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c199b69777-4c4a227cf4-212867289

The Titan X will easily handle 1440p. It will even do a good job at 4K. There is room for a 2nd card if you ever want to SLI.

I haven't included the peripherals so you will need to add them in.

If you are not in a rush to buy anything then the new cards should be here pretty soon (June time).

Yeah its a little over my budget but that because i seen the Cosmo II and like the idea with the covers to keep little fingers out when I'm not on it.

You may all shout at me for ordering at the same place but i find its so much easier if i can get it all in one go with my job.

That SSD is a bit of a waste for a gaming/home pc as it is designed for use in workstation pc's. I would stick with the 850 Evo or the Crucial BX100/MX100/MX200.

You don't need 32GB Ram.

WD Black drives are overpriced as well. A Seagate would do the same job for less.

Why two 144HZ Monitors ? And with this budget you should be aiming for 1440p or even 4K

The SSD is a 850 Evo didn't notice that must have selected the wrong one.

Been looking at the ASUS PB287Q 4K Monitor, and cannot really think of a reason why i would need 2 for gaming, 3 yes but not 2.

Also reduced the ram to 16GB.
