M.2 information?

elliott35

I think someone should do a in depth explanation of the different M.2 slots and drives... I have been trying to figure it all out and there seems to be a lack of information out there regarding what boards support what drives.  For example I have a maximus 6 gene, and cant figure out for the life of me, if it will work with the upcoming mushkin hyperion, Samsung xp941 or the m7e.... Linus if you're listening i think this would make a good video ;)

Ars Technica did a great breakdown of M.2 and the different types of slots it uses. Just google "Ars Technica M.2" and it should show up. Skip down to the grid for quick reference.

But I agree, it'd be a great opportunity for LTT to do a video on. Luke would handle this best, I feel.
