Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. It's really tempting tho.

The site won't load so I can't check its specs... but those machines are very expensive overheaters with a built in "throttle me" function. So I wouldn't even recommend it to someone for $1300

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

What high end gaming laptop would you recommend? I want a thin and light laptop that's also powerful for gaming.

Why not just for out the cash for an X7 from a trusted retailer? Cause at $1300 you're not looking at many laptops which will fit your criteria.

I travel a lot and would like to be able to game while on the go.

I have been looking at the GS70 and GS60. Do they not thermal throttle?

Because I like saving my $600-$700 if I can lol.

yeah the clevos are too thick for my taste. It seems MSI are the highly recommended laptops here LOL. Are they better than, say, the razer blade? Or the the acer aspire V Nitro?

If the P650SA is too thick for your taste, you're going to deal with heating problems on your CPU regardless of the PC you get.

Razer blade is a waste of money. It's only worth around $1200 or so, maybe $1400 with the 512GB SSD. It lacks too many storage options and is too proprietary to be easily recommended by 99% of the population to 99% of the population.

MSI's GS60 and GS70 are pretty decent thin gaming machines. Among the best. Gigabyte's machines are their only real contenders. Aorus throttle too much and overheat like crazy, Razer is not even worth it and anything else isn't worth its salt.

Gotcha. MSI it is for me then.
