Looks promising indeed. Quote from review:

Move over Asus ROG Swift PG278Q, in our opinion we've got a new king of gaming monitors!

Comes out to ~$800 US, competively priced against the ROG if correct.

Indeed, it's looking to cost around $50 AUD more than the swift in Australia for an arguably better monitor. Review tells us input lag and response times are not at all an issue.

Holy shit.

Almost twice less input lag than the ROG Swift.

"Arguably" ?

Its objectively better.

Once you see what IPS looks like you will understand that TN is in fact garbage.

And nowadays when we start getting FAST IPSs capable of 144hz and lightboost - TNs really have no excuses left. People will still defend TNs... just like there are still a few people that defend black and white TVs.

Review tells us this monitor is just as fast as RoG swift but a better quality panel. Basically just yes, better.

If they use the same panel and overdrive tech on the XR341CK 21:9 coming out this year it could be a home run.

Really no reason to not get the XB270HU monitor over the Swift, unless you really like the reticle crosshair overlay or something

I'm convinced. XB270HU is my next monitor.

Thinking the same thing, I was just waiting for reviews to confirm this.

You aint gona get a more indepth review than the TFT central one.

While its awesome and shit, im gona wait for the 21:9 version of this... however long it takes. CBA with 16:9 ever again.

Yeah I am having quite an internal conflict with whether I should wait for the wide screen XR341CK or buy the XB270HU. I'm just stuck on an old Hitachi 1280x1024 monitor currently and my system power is going to waste. Thinking it would be well worth it though, heard it will be out by years end.

Maybe the 21:9 shows up while I'm saving up money for the XB270HU. Then I have two options, :)

Still haven't been told whether the XR341CK is even AHVA or TN.

Except price. As much as I'd like the upgrade, the $1000au asking price for either is simply too expensive

Here in norway, the Price difference of Asus Rog Swift PG278Q and XB270HU is like 60$. It's not THAT much.

Price of this won't be much higher than Swift. In Australia we pay less for the Swift than people from the UK do.

Heard about that one. Didn't know its the same panel as the acer one. Wonder why its "only" 120Hz.

Love the Bomb!

ASUS hadn't finished validating it for 144Hz, they're a little late to the game after Acer. The demo unit at CES was only a prototype, not a finished product.

Depends on how you see it. If you have a fairly good monitor now, I would think using that money on something else.

But if you have 3 year old cheap monitor like me. I think it's a nice investment, because personally I would stick with it for 3-4 years and still be happy with it.

But it all comes down to the wallet :P
