They should be pretty equal, Performance wise.

EDIT: Im not 100% sure, Im not sure Wow uses more than 4 cores, The 860k would be better in that case.

You can overclock the crap out of the FX 6350 much more.  If you are paying about the same I'd go with that one.  In fact if you can get the FX 6300 for less than the FX6350 go with that.

By the way for the people that go all nuts about the i3 cpus check out this link ....

When gaming/running gaming like benchmarks the AMD FX 6350 is staying right with it and they don't even have the AMD cpu overclocked here.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

They should be on par with each other, I'd take the X4 because of a lower heat output.

I see, thank you.

@Wobble_99 is that the only place you can order from? I'd go 860K exclusively for WoW still as that FX6350 is on a GA78LMT-USB3 which is kinda trash (can see in picture), so you'll get throttling issues and OCing is out of the question.

The 860K system is the better of the two. Keep in mind it doesn't include a HDD or Windows unless you select it.

What cooler could i use then (Nothing more than £40) that would fit in the corsair air 240. The max height is 120mm

Have you tried PCSpecialist? You can configure those and they come to a similar price:

https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/view/Vortex-500-gaming-pc/

For example if you upgrade GPU to 960 and upgrade case to 200R it comes in at a similar price.

I would have to go with the r9 270 instead of the gtx 960 hmmmm .... but it is a i3 so will the performance be more or less the same ?

In WoW an i3 should perform really well in comparison to an AMD as wow really makes use of the single core performance. R9 270 is fine for WoW too :)

These benchmarks are the definition of cherry-picking BS. How about you find a Skyrim, WoW, Planetside 2 and Rome 2 Total War results.

For WoW, there is no AMD. Neither GPU, nor CPU.

EDIT : Some links to prove my point

no fanboyism but if you play Wow (or just about any other games for that matter) you WANT an intel CPU...wheter it's an i3 or an i5 it doesnt mind you aint gonna match an haswell i3 in games even with an overclocked FX-83XX CPU.

OP is stuck between some prebuilds, and it's between those two cpus. they're not a bad price though in the UK so...

I recommended a similarly priced i3 machine though :)

better than the 860K? the 860K i believe got stronger cores (higher IPC) but it lacks L3 cache...not sure how this would affect gaming performance i have yet to find a good review on something like 860K vs FX-6300 GAMING benchmarks...but i would think in some situations the 860K might actualy be faster bro.
