Why the heck can't I download movies I buy on Play Store?

So I haven't bought any movies I researched before I bought anything but why can't you download the movies you BUY on any of the online stores? Google Play, Xbox Video, etc. Its annoying, lol

Because that's the way Google's Play services work.  If you watch them, they'll save to your cache so you can watch them offline.

drm for movies. if you really want a drm free movie just rip a bluray the right way. I dont pirate movies but i'll be damned if I am buying a movie I already bought twice. Got copies of all my flix in al kinds of formats.

You can download movies you buy off Amazon I'm pretty sure. Correct me if I'm wrong...

You can download movies you buy off Amazon I'm pretty sure. Correct me if I'm wrong...

You USED to be able to it was called amazon unbox player.  They removed it.

 

If you email them and complain they will send you a link to download the last working version of it.  

 

The larger problem is NONE of the places, Amazon, PlayStore..etc allow movies to play in HIGH DEF.  they block High def from PC viewing even if you freaking pay for it HD is blocked for playback on PC's.  I asked amazon about this and they told me it was a restriction the movie industry puts on them.

 

I rent all my movies on my PS4, because they allow HD to play on it.
