Syncing contacts across phones?

Tacitus

Hey everyone,

My OPO just arrived (my second one, first one I stupidly broke), and I'm glad to have it back.

But.... It took me bloody ages to transfer all my contacts over to it the first time, and I'm putting off doing it again.

My old phone was a Nokia Lumia 920 with WP8, and the OPO is Android.

Is it possible to somehow sync my contacts via an app or something?

If email syncing is required, I do not use Gmail or other google services, I use hotmail.

Cheers!

You can try exporting them as a VCf file

Export via hotmail/outlook on your browser, WP auto syncs your contacts with hotmail. Then select all and click export on your web browser on your PC, export to a single file. Transfer file on to OPO and import. Simple...
Or import into Gmail and sync with phone. :)

hmm. i dunno. I use my Gmail account to sync and don't even know if there's an app to do thaton the windows phone side. see if you can export contacts to a .vcf file on your windows phone. if you can, transfer the file to your OPO and import from there.

-snip-

On my Android device in the regular contacts app, I can Import or Export contacts.

Look in the settings of the WP contact app to see if you can export your contacts

No I don't. I made a Gmail throwaway account which I never use for anything.

Well, did you try what was suggested and did it work?
