Anyone Order from this place?

So I just ordered a camera for about $140USD cheaper than amazon, on Digitalrev.com.

I found out that people are having to pay import/duty fees when getting the package.

I really need more information, and am wondering if anyone here has had any experience ordering from them?

DigitalRev are based in China I believe. You'll most likely have to pay import duty and customs tax, possibly along with some carrier handling fees. All of them have the chance to get waived, but most of the time you'll have to pay them. 

 

This is taken from their site:

I haven't dealt with them but if they charge you more than what was listed on Amazon then I'd contact Amazon and see if they can do anything.

How much are those taxes and Import duty fees?

Changes from country to country. Also depends on what the item is, how much it weighs (sometimes), how much it's worth and a few other things. You'd have to look it up for where you live, it might even change from state to state, I'm not sure on that. 

 

If you can't find a calculator for it, you may have to talk to a customs officer to find out how much it's going to cost. 

 

In the UK it tends to be around 20% of the total cost from my experience (importing from the US)

It's not them that's charging extra, it's the customs and import departments of his country.

I think he thought Digitalrev.com wasa an Amazon Seller.

Some things are. I'm not sure how it is where you are, so I really can't say. You can't really be completely sure of how much it will cost. I've ordered the exact same thing multiple times, but the import and customs fees have been different each time.

Depends on the price of the camera. The charges tend to be based on percentage, not a hard rate. Maybe add on 20% to get an idea, but I can't say for sure.

I talked to DigitalRev (live chat) and they said they will pay for the customs if we send the reciept to them
