But for video editing, rendering, and that type of stuff, they are pretty good, especially the 5820k which is a great deal.

But I heard that Broadwell-E  Is coming out in 2016, which is a year away.

Depends for what. If gaming then Broadwell would be better.

I heard broadwell only give about a 3% performance increase.

About 5-10% depending on the chip. 

 

Point is, extreme edition CPUs are a waste of money unless you do lots of content creation.

But they said that Exterme CPUS give very good gaming performance too.

But if you're only gaming, you'd be wasting a lot of money. Not only on the chip, but on an X99 board as well as DDR4 RAM.
