Corsair K70 red software still just as bad as review make it to be?

anujfr

Corsair K70 keyboard software has received a lot of bad rep but I really like the design and would like to get it, but worried that the software will completely crap out ending up in me returning the keyboard. What do you guys think? BTW This is what I am looking at this http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00CD1FC6G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416617834&sr=8-1&keywords=k70+red cherry mx blue with red led.

Then how do you set the led levels and other features? Also what about keyboard driver? Also how is the build quality of both the key caps and the board itself?

LED brightness you can configure on 3 levels by pushing a button on the keyboard. (you can configure what keys light up by holding the button as well)

Keyboard drivers are not required as Windows has them preinstalled like every other keyboard.

Build quality is amazing, no flex at all and it comes with some textured WSAD + 1-6 keys that I actually use while gaming.

No need for any bloatware software at all :)

Not sure how long you have used this keyboard for, but is the led dying in less than an year still an issue? And does the corsair warranty cover this?

nope, this issue only effected the silver and blue version of the keyboard. I have never herd of anyones black/red K70 failing and yes Corsair do cover it.
