New Gaming Build - $2865 Budget

Hello,

I am located in: Florida, USA

My budget is: $2900

This PC will be used for: Gaming (mostly), web development, and programming

I have a 2TB Hard drive already and a Razer Naga Mouse so please don't comment about there being no hard drive or mouse.

Please let me know what you think. I decided to expand my budget from $2500 to $2900 because I want DDR4 and an Intel i7 5820k. This build will be used in the future for 4k gaming but for now I'm sticking at 1080p until January.

I basically want a future proof gaming pc. This will be used for a little web development and programming but nothing heavy duty.

Thanks,

GallioneIT

Planning to future proof isn't always the best, unless you can predict the future (kudos if so)

For gaming an i7-4790K outperforms the i7-5820K and the i7-5930K.

If the plan is to move to 4K gaming I would suggest going with a single GTX 980 to start. Then add a second when you are ready to move to 4K.

It's more expensive, but an M.2 ssd running in pcie mode is much faster than ssd using a SATA 6 GB/s interface.

Not sure why the OP list includes so many fans. The case comes with three and the H100i add two to the count. Five fans should be enough to manage airflow in the case.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
