Fractal Design Define R4 with windows or not

I want a silent build and i am hesistating between the Define R4 with windows version and the one without window.My only fear that the the sound dampening of the window version isn't as good as the non window version.The non windows version looks solid with good sound dampening but the window version look so sexy and i could show off my mobo but i don't want it to be at the expense of silence

 

 

Why one will be best in my situation ?

The difference in silence between the window version and the non windows version is very small.

 

As long as the parts you have chose for your PC are quiet, there won't be that big of a difference.

I don't know the difference between the two when it comes to sound, but it probably isn't that large, but as far as I can remember the windowed one has an acrylic window instead of a glass one so it'll scratch really easily, that's just something to consider. Really I think it comes down to preference as to whether or not you get the window.

That's what I'd recommend. If you're going to be careful with it then go windowed but if you're not go no window.

The sound dampening foam is bs on the sides, its basicly a piece of cloth over cardboard, the front on the other hand is nice and soft. In honesty any case that does not force your fans to 100% will be similar in noise level

the window isnt to fragile, you can sit on it and it will mostly be fine, it may be scratched though
