Chroma BlackWidow

So, I am set to get all A's in my Accelerated and Double Accelerated classes at school for the quarter. My parents are willing to get me a BlackWidow Chroma if I want. I am an avid Razer fan, so I will not be going with Corsair anytime soon. I already have a BlackWidow Ultimate 2014. Is it worth it to upgrade? If not, then I'm getting Adaro Wireless or DJ. I am going to make around 500 bucks in two weeks at a craft show that I sell at. I am thinking about getting a Kraken G10 on my 970 AMP! Extreme and an undecided all in one cooler. So, what should I do with my money? Thanks SO much ;)

I would get those headphones or G10. The Chroma just adds RGB lights.

First off, a Kraken G10 on that card is a huge waste of money.

If you find the lighting features are worth the upgrade, why not? But if lights are less than important to you, don't bother and get something more worthwhile, like another GTX 970.

Wait... I just realized after reading this that I can get freaking SLI 0.0 but... I won't  have room for my wireless card that I need to use for GameStream and my card covers up the slot; so I would need a new mobo. Won't be worth it since I only have a 3820 and I'm planning on getting a 5th gen eventually. So I'll just wait until then to get SLI. Thanks for thew help ;) Also I only have a 1080p 60hz monitor.

How about USB WiFi?

And yeah, definitely not worth it at 1080p :P

I guess that would work. I think I should just say "FUCK IT!" and take half of my bank savings to get an ROG Swift or Acer 4k G-Sync. Or 3.

Yeah I mean my Dad did say he would get me one if I could sell all of our excess monitors in the house, so I could pay the difference.  B)

I agree. The Chroma really isn't worth the upgrade, it pretty much is for anyone who is buying a Razer keyboard for the first time, but not really for an upgrade.

I would buy a nice new set of headphones (Beyer Dynamic DT880's) and a USB DAC/Amp, save 2/3's, of what's left and donate some to a cause you believe in.

A G10 still needs a CPU cooler to work with it.

Your keyboard works fine as is, and it's not like it's that old. And just replacing with another Razer seems wasteful, there are much better keyboards out there.

This way, you're saving up for an even better PC, maybe even a car?

Congratulations on doing so well in school by the way.
