Slim and Light Laptop for Coding and CAD

Dariru

I'm looking for a laptop that's slim and light that can run Visual Studio and Solidworks relatively smoothly and is an improvement over my current laptop preferably under $800 CDN. The specs of my current laptop are: i3 u330M, Nvidia GT 310M, 4 GB RAM, 500GB HDD.

I would look for a laptop that has a haswell part ending in M, 8gb Ram and either a SSD or room in the budget to add one. thin and light won't get you a discrete GPU at that price range, but the haswell's integrated graphics is no slacker.
