Best Gaming\Casual Headset\Headphones on the market?

SilverKnight

I am looking for the best headset on the market. I don't care about the mic quality. I care about build quality and sound. So it does not have to be a "Gaming headset" or have flashy lights. Budget is £0 to £250 or $0 to $350.

Does it have to be a headset? Or would a headphone + mic combo work?

Headphones would be fine. As i said, mic is not important.

You stated both dollar and GBP budget, but where can you buy them from? Amazon.com etc. A few suggestions on the lower end of the budget. Hd558, k612 pro and ad700x

Kingston HyperX Cloud is good for the price.

Sennheiser PC 350 SE is what I use.  got it for $127  6 months ago.  still like new and sounds great IMO.

Audio Technica's headset is good too but very pricey for what it is.

Headphone/MIC combo is the standard recommendation.

HyperX Cloud hands down. Although if you don't need a mic, there are a lot of options. For open, my favorites are Beyerdynamic DT990 and AKG K612. For closed, there is Shure 440 with 840 pads, Beyerdynamic DT770, Sony MDR 1R, and used Denon D2000.

598s are pretty overpriced. The $130 used price on Amazon is not too bad though. I suggest getting used HD 558s on Amazon instead if you want to get a Sennheiser.
