Corsair SP120s not reporting RPM?

Interfectorem

So I recently bought a 2-Pack of Corsair SP120 PWM Performance Editions. So I plug one into the CPU header and another into a Chassis Fan header (Push/Pull on 120M Rad). When I turn on the computer, the fans spin up and move great amounts of air, right, everything normal. However, when I go into the BIOS, the fans aren't reporting the RPMs. I tried other headers to no luck and also tried my previous fans, they showed the RPM. So I was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue. It's not a huge deal but I'm sick and tired of the "Megatrends" error message of "CPU Fan Error" that pops up every time I boot up my PC. Thanks for any suggestions and information.

Edit: Motherboard is an Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0

It's a known problem. It's been around for a while, apparently they work in the sys fan headers.

Personally, I'd just get my money back. Corsair's fans are pretty pathetic when it comes to performance.

Well they work, so no point in returning them. Thanks anyways.
