Computer freezing in game

So my friend has an issue, where he is playing games like BF4 and LoL, and then his pc would just freeze. After it freezes you can not do anything, only restart helps. Does anyone knows what could be the cause for this issue? 

 

His specs:

 

Intel core i7 2600

Corsair Vengeance 8 GB 1600 MHz (2x4 GB)

ASRock Z77 Pro3

Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Dual-X

Corsair CX600M

Samsung 840 Evo 120 GB
