Should I plug my computer in a surge protector?

legend8887

So I have a computer I recently built for a little over $2,000. Two days ago there was a HUGE storm with a ton of bright lightning and LOUD thunder and so much rain. My computer is plugged in directly to the wall. Nothing happened to it, I'm just wondering if I should plug it in to the surge protector I have to protect it from any other potential power surges during storms or anything else?

Yes! Just because you got away with it this time doesn't mean that next time you'll be just as lucky
