Keycap puller and Cleaning

Donut417

I got the Razer Blackwidow keyboard and noticed its getting kinda dirty. So, I started looking at keycap pullers on newegg because Im about to place an order. Here is what I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826997056&cm_re=keycap_puller-_-26-997-056-_-Product. I seen a wire one on amazon, any suggestions? I need to pull my keys and clean them and between them. Any suggestions for cleaning solution? Alcohol? This keyboard was $115 on sale, so Im trying to not mess it up.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Is it bad that my fingers are strong enough to pull out keys without a key puller on my Quickfire TK?

Not bad, I just wouldn't recommend it because you could break the stem on the switch

I think my keys are just slightly looser than other keyboards

I wonder if anyone ever stole the keys from the cutout on blackwidow boxes

At the shop some of my friends work at the guy in the games section (where they keep the mech boards) was telling me that happens from time to time.

Make your own http://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/wiki/key_removal_guides

if you are going to buy your own get a wire one

For cleaning use water with a drop or two of laundry detergent, and a brush if you want to get in between the switches

Never water. Use rubbing alcohol, it cleans the gunk, kills the germs you've left behind over the months/years, and evaporates quickly.

I said water because rubbing alcohol can take of the finish on some keycaps

Thanks for the advice. Ill try water first, just because that might be all I need. If I need stronger I can try alcohol.
