is there a optical to usb converter.

im using an astro a40 headset and the only audio that im using is coming from usb and that doesnt allow me to use the mixer between voice and game. I saw that you need to plug the optical cable into your computer to be able to use it but my computer doesnt have an optical input. it there a way i can plug in the optical cable into my computer without having an  optical in, like a converter or something? and could you also link me to it if you find it. Thanks in advance.

get a soundcard with an optical out, USB optical does exist but it costs nearly as much as a PCIE soundcard which IMHO is a better option.

Xonar DGX will run in any PCIE slot (1x/2x/4x/8x/16x), has an optical out and is very cheap.

A cheap external soundcard (with optical out obviously) will do it for you. They can usually be had second hand for next to nothing.
