GTX 770 or R9 280X?

It's been asked NUMEROUS times, but which should I get? Nvidia's GTX 770 or AMD's Radeon R9 280X? It will be used for 1080p gaming and video editing (Sony Vegas, Adobe Aftereffects, Cinema 4D). I have dual 1080p, 60 Hz monitors. When gaming, I play on one and usually have Chrome open on the other.

I doubt I'd ever buy a SHIELD, but I would use ShadowPlay. I'm interested in Mantle, but I'm not sure how much I'd benefit from it.

Thanks in advance!

I would personally go with the GTX 770 if you're mainly using Sony Vegas Pro like me. Sony initially worked with NVIDIA so their GPU's are better supported with CUDA. So that's what I'd recommend. AMD GPU's have been shown that they don't completely work well in Sony Vegas when you're rendering out your projects using the commonly used codec which, as you know, is MP4.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.
