Every beta I have played deletes all character information before they release the game.

 

They may give you a reward for helping test the game like exclusive items or something along those lines, but otherwise your out of luck and have to start fresh...

 

Don't worry, you won't be alone on that one :P.

They're keeping a select few emblems and cosmetic rewards but everything else will be wiped.

I can't remember a beta that ever kept stats.

hearthstone did, but then again, it wasn't really a beta since everyone had the access.

 

the term "beta" nowadays means "you can play the game but don't complain about missing features or bugs because we labeled the game as beta"

Yes, it also means 'demo' to me, I don't believe them when they say it's not representative of the final product and the final product may chance substantially, because that always turns out to be bullshit.
