Would Mario always stay on the first screen while the rest of the level scrolls?

You shouldn't be able to see what's ahead for you in the level entirely in platformers. Shooter equivalent would be wall hack.

So triple screen platforming games, showing ahead one and a half or two screens, but not the ending screens/scenes..... counts too?

People sure are picky about their gaming situational awareness!
