Hello everyone
So for the last couple of weeks i've been encountering loats of BSOD crashes while playing videogames, especially high-demanding games like witcher 3 or fortnite, This BSOD crashes has always happened in my pc but not in a daily dosis like it's doing now, probably because I upgraded my GPU to a GTX 1050ti, but not sure if that really is the case. I've replaced my HDD to see if that was the hardware causing my crashes, but it wasn't, and now I have no idea what to do/try. The error that often pops out when my pc crashes is "BAD_POOL_CALLER", Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My rig:
CPU : Intel core I7-7700
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050ti 4GB (EVGA)
Motherboard: BIOSTAR H110MGC
PSU: SPEEDMIND 800W GAMING PSU, (btw this brand is from the country where I live)
RAM: 16 GB Dual Channel DDR4 @1064MHz (15-15-15-36)
HDD: 1863 GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 (SATA)

Already did that twice with that DDU thing, and I already updated all my drivers with driver easy, so I don't know what else could I try haha

Downloaded something called whocrashed and this is what pops out, hope you could help me:

Conclusion



4 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 3 are included in this report. No offending third party drivers have been found. Connsider using WhoCrashed Professional which offers more detailed analysis using symbol resolution. Also configuring your system to produce a full memory dump may help you.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

Is your CPU overclocked?

 

If it is, I'd suggest you reset your BIOS to default and check if it becomes stable.

 

If that doesn't help try running Memtest. Here's a guide on that.

 

Make sure to quote or tag people, so they get notified.

Hey, no my CPU is not overclocked, however, in the past I used to overclock my old GPU so I don't know if that damaged some pieces of hardware, but I don't think so.

I doubt it. It's fairly hard to break them unless you are doing custom BIOS and stuff like that.

 

If you still have the old HDD, you could try a fresh Windows install. That would eliminate the driver issues.

If that doesn't help I'd assume it's a faulty RAM.

How are your temps? Have you run any stress tests or such to see at what point it BSODs? Like usage % of CPU or something like that. Sad to say, but this can also be something like bad RAM slot on your mobo. Biostar is budget mobo, so things like that are likely.

Hey, sorry for not responding earlier, haven't checked this site haha

My temps are not bad I think, cpu stays between 35-45 idle and my gpu 29-30

Don't know my cpu temp while gaming, but I do know that my gpu stays at 66.

Haven't run any stress test yet

i've looked into your issue. from what i've found it could be antivirus related, so disabling or even uninstalling it may help. the error in general is supposedly a windows component at fault from what i've read so try opening a command prompt as admin and run sfc/scannow and run this command after DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

If Windows Defender is active, it could be blocking the games from Autosaving. I saw a similar issue where Defender would block the saves and then when trying to quit the game, BSOD. First question, is your progress being saved while you game? Second, is Windows Defender active? If this could be the issue, add your games to the trusted app/programs list in Defender (if you want to keep using it) otherwise disable Windows Defender.

Yes, but I think the problem was malware related, because I thought the issue could be caused by malware so I downloaded malware bytes and I had a flawless experience while gaming yesterday, no BSOD's, no in-game crashes, etc.. 

I'm still testing if this is it, but still I appreciate the help

Check the quarantine menu in Malwarebytes if you want to know if something has been caught.

Though, you'd be notified if it did block something.

oh btw, just played a game and it crashed to desktop, thought it was meaningless so I tried to open it again but I couldn't, my pc literally couldn't do anything, I even tried to open google chrome and nothing appeared, just a blank page, tried to search something in windows and nothing loaded, so I manually had to restart my pc. At this point I don't know what's wrong with my pc lol

At this point, I'd just reinstall windows and see if that fixes your issue. If you have a second drive, you could install it on that.

 

If you are playing pirated games then, Malwarebytes could've deleted something from the folder.

Maybe try taking the 1050Ti out and play some games with the IGPU. If it doesn't crash then, it's probably a bad card.

Also, when you Overclocked your old card was it in the same system? Maybe some setting was left over and it's causing crashes?

Yes, it was in the same system, but these crashes have always happened since I bought this pc, not as usual, but still, maybe it's some damaged hardware but idk what could it be.

Hi everyone, yes I know that this thread is quite old but I'm so sick of this problem, so I'm still getting BSOD's and I replaced the hardware that I thought was faulty (such as HDD, Power Supply AND I even RMA'd my card) to see if this solves anything but it didn't, as I already stated, these BSOD's happen mainly when I'm gaming, that's why I replaced my GPU but seems like the GPU it's not even the problem, if you have any suggestions please write it down, thank you.
