Gpu is too hot

Edddddd

I have a gtx 1060 6gb zotac mini and it is running very hot... No oc and I have 3 case fans 2 intake 1 exhaust. Even with gpu fan and case fans running full speed my gpu is reaching 88 degrees... 88 degrees is ok but with all fans at 100% makes an annoying amount of noise. all dust has been cleaned out of the case and on the fans.  What is best thing for me to do to lower temps without underocking the gpu? I can fit 1 more exhaust fan and 1 more intake....

thanks :)))

Is there even thermal paste on the die? 1060s should be running way cooler than that. Heck, even my 7970s run cooler than that.

88C is probably the limited max for the card. The fan on that card seems to be a common fail/weak point among reviews, though most are positive and don’t mention it at all. Could be BIOS/driver related maybe

Not confident enough to remove fab and heat sink:( should be fine though as I’ve only had it for 3 months....

did you try different monitoring software you might be getting a false reading?

Msi afterburner and HW monitor both the same.

GPUs are a certain size for a reason.

What do you think is being removed, diminished, to make it mini?

Usually, it is the GPUs power supply and cooling solution.

its a Nice clean build it has to be something in the card unfortunately you may want to contact the manufacturer.

wait why is the CPU fan not spinning?

nvm I think the card doesn't has enough fresh air intake, case looks like a box from here, what's the ambient temp?

I have dual 480s and both are also hitting 88C when gaming but you know that's normal since they're 480s and my ambient temp is like 35C so I don't worry about it

Had a 1070 before and my max temp playing games was like 72C

I am also puzzled by this. I know that if the CPU isn't cooled the heat can lead to higher GPU temps.
