Questions:

  1. Is it better to buy a RAM kit with  4 x 4Gb sticks to fill the dual channels or to buy  2 x 16Gb or  4 x 16Gb

  2. I want the best cooling solution for my i9-9900k but I don't know what route to go, wouldn't mind even a DIY within reason - do I stick with the NH-D15 or go liquid?

  3. Which PSU would I need for all the above equipment?

  4. Based on the above answer with full load in mind, which UPS do I need?

  5. I want a beautiful case to show off my system but I also want great air flow for thermals - can't decide and wouldn't mind hearing suggestions.

Bonus:

If you have any Greater suggestions about my components listed from above, please share a potential build.

Requirements: SIngle GPU 2080 ti and i9-9900k

Thanks :)

1. It would be better to go quad channel if your motherboard supports it

2.If you can, liquid.

3. Pcpartpicker.com can determine your wattage for all the listed componuts, all you have to simply have to do is make your build and it will give you the needed credentials however right of the bat it looks like your system will probably draw 800w when playing games or doing any intensive work so I would get a 900w psu or even 1000w if you plan on doing sli in the future.

Remember to not cheap out on psu's though, get a good 80+ certified one. You can cheap out on all other hardware but if you cheap out on a noname chinese psu you'll fucking blow up your system.

4. UPS's are optional but literally anything will work online, just get one that can support 1000/900w and isn't shit.

5. Nzxt cases are nice, thermaltake h21, fractal design define c, and Corsair anniversary editon are all really nice cases ( this is 100% subjective ).

My current code projects

--------------------------------

  • C#/OpenGL ( using OpenTK graphics library API ) KnightsRealm ( unfinished, WIP plan on releasing on steam maybe a mobile port idk ) 2d topdown pixel art based game with medieval themes, sorcery, dragons, open world
  • C++ crypter ( if your into cryptography, I plan on releasing this on my website later :P
  • C#/OpenGL ( OpenGL for UI ) fan/light controller for my room w/ raspberry pi and some mechanical motors and stuff :D

Current repair projects

------------------------------

  • My dreadful receiver ( a capacitor blew )
  • working on a PC from a client, CPU died within the system, seems like a short, replaced CPU and awaiting payment before I ship it back
  • my old 1tb sas drive for my NAS, some blemishes or something on the PCB need to clear that back out, if it doesn't work i'll need to scrap it ( already backed up all my stuff thankfully )

If you want any software made, or stuff to be repaired give me an email!

Also, that 500gb m.2 ssd isn't really worth it if your gonna get a 1tb sata ssd, there's only noticeable performance in certain applications.

Either get a 500gb m.2 ssd and those hard drives or a 1tb sata ( which I recommend ) and those hdd's.

Thanks :)

1. dual 2x16, can always just do 4 after seeing how 2x16 performs.

2. the d15 keeps it just cool enough, but with liquid you might be able to squeeze another 100mhz, it heats up quick past 1.3v no matter what, ur call.

3. there are killer deals on 1000-1300w psus right now. (just the 9900k oc+2080 ti can draw up to 550w)

4. i've been looking at 900w for 150usd, didnt go on sale :(

5. One of the more popular all-purpose case for all setups:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112583&Description=lian li&cm_re=lian_li-_-11-112-583-_-Product

obviously there are hundreds of cases that looks/functions differently, just throwing this out here.
