NVME drive cannot stop formatting.

Ok so I bought an NVME drive over M.2. It works fine but when I try to format it and add a drive letter for the cloning needed, all it does is just says formatting forever and it has a drive letter of B. Please help me. Windows does not recognize it as formatted either.

If I click cancel formatting it doesn't stop. What do I do?

Time to power off the PC. Power it back on and try again

You'll interrupt the formatting, but it sounds like it's not good to begin with.

Who makes the card BTW?

I ran window recovery drives and it formatted it right so then I just transfered over the data need and deleted the unneeded partitions in the action with Macrium. Also should I reinstall windows to get the full speed of my drive?

You don’t need to reinstall Windows to attain the full speed out of your drive, assuming partition alignment is fine, which it should be. Whoever says so doesn’t know what they are talking about. We’re not in the days of Windows XP anymore.
