Headset disconnecting

I have the HyperX stinger, am using realtek HD audio manager and have my headset connected to the back connectors. However, since I switched my headset to the back of my PC, It's been disconnecting and reconnecting at random. When it disconnects, I don't lose sound or stop speaking and it would be unnoticeable but, the Realtek audio manager opens then, for a split second asks me what I just connected (as if I just plugged the cable in) then closes the window and acts as if it never happened. This is getting annoying as whenever this happens, I'm pulled out of whatever game I'm playing.
