saw this from linus a while ago and realized i can get 2 xeon x5670s for less then $50, thats 12 cores, 24 threads, at almost 3 Ghz base. also, I can snag 32 gb or ddr3 ecc for only $50 I thought tons of cores was good for CAD and rendering but his cinebench score was pretty bad... I use mostly fusion 360 and 3ds max. would this CPU config work well for this? My current rig I use for most stuff is an i5 6600k, so would I even get performance games? Thanks a ton.
I'm only doing this because I've been recovering old parts and trying to frankestein together a rig with them, or sell them and make something with the money from it, so I know it doesn't make sense but I want to do it anyway.
