Would This Build Work? First Time

Hello there,

I am new when it comes to building a PC, so I asked my friend who is good with computers to help me build one and this is the list he chose for all the parts within my budget($2000). He said it would run everything I needed. I need it to run windows and photoshop for sure along with some animation programs (although getting to play some games on it wouldn't be bad either). I have some idea what the parts do but not all of them. If I can make it cheaper that would be great. Any advice would be much appreciated.

-a bit overkill on cpu IMO, a 9700k or 2700/x would be a better choice depending on what animation applications you're using and you could use the money saved oh a better gpu

-at that price I can't really recommend a 120mm AIO over, say, a dark rock 4

-idk if you're willing to but saw a deal on Newegg eBay for a 512gb intel 545s for $55. It'd be a better ssd and larger

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
