You should get rid of the current stick anyways because it will force the 16gb to run at 2133 as well.

Thanks for the response! I'm fine with all the sticks @2133 since that's already more than fast enough for my use case. But what do you mean by off and on? is it impossible to know until you try it, or is there a method i can use to check if I can do that?
