i just upgraded my old pc with a new cpu, mother board and ram ( AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Prosessor, MSI X470 GAMING PRO CARBON, Socket-AM4, Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000MHz 32GB )

the change was seemless in on the start with no noticeable problems but now both my screens freeze then goes black for 3-10 seconds before coming back and this happands every 10 min or so, sometimes even 1 minute.

but the problem doesnt stop there, everytime it goes black it crashes my games and videos i have in the backgrond making it impossible to play with friends or watch anything.

anyone that have had the same problem or know a fix to this?

edit:

specs:

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

MSI X470 GAMING PRO CARBON, Socket-AM4
Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000MHz 32GB
AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Prosessor

ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo

Corsair RM850, 850W PSU

Have you pulled your GPU and reseated it yet?  And it may help to wipe down the pins on your GPU with some rubbing alcohol.  Also, did you check the power connectors on everything?  PSU and component sides.

No, no.  You can't leave out the GPU.  The 2700X doesn't have a GPU on the die like almost all Intel CPUs.  The reason your board has any video out ports is for an instance a user installs a 2200G or 2400G or another AMD CPU with built in GPU.

I wanted to make certain you GPU was seated well and that the pins were clean and not suffering from any interference there.  That and the power cables were all firmly installed too.

Are you using a modular power supply?

Also, have you checked your monitor?  Its power cable and connection to its power source?

also today i tried diffrent things with the gpu and it seems like it is the gpu that is triggering mosy of these problems, but i cant put my finger on where the problem accures cause if i put the 1080ti in my old rig it works fine, so i think the problem is with the motherboard not giving the power the gpu needs or something.

but im really not sure how i can check this or how to fix this.

yes i have a modular power supply, and both my monitors cables are fine, im very positive that the problem comes from the computer cause both screens freeze and goes black at the same time and comes back aswell.

Are you using the correct cables for the GPU power and is it seated well?  I'm just hoping it isn't your mobo so you won't have to deal with tearing it all down.  That would be a pain in the a**.

Update:

i think i have an awnser to my problem that i found by accident, i pluged out my hdmi screen from the gpu and left only my displayport screen inn and now i can play games and watch videos without that problem i talked about earlier, but this is still annying cause now i cant use my second screen so my question is: have anyone encountred this problem where you can only use one screen?

Update: the screen was fine for 1 hour and when i tried to watch youtube insted of netflix it did the freeze black and back thingy again ;-(
