I'm sorry people of LTT I truly am. I have changed my mind about getting a 780ti and now think I will buy a 780. I have three brands/editions to which I have narrowed my primary selection down to.

1. 780 ASUS direct CU2  I like this one because its ASUS and it looks nice. My only problem is that its factory OC is very little.

2. 780 MSI lightening  This one is just plain sick! I have an mpower board already so it would look great. Only problem is that it looks like it will bend the heck out of a PCI-e slot. Anybody have the card and knows if its bending at all?

3. 780 EVGA FTW or super-clocked with ACX cooler. I had an EVGA 680 and I loved it, there support was fast and they seemed like a really good company. Plus their warranty seemed good and the product trade-in was a bonus.

So I'm hoping some of you can share your thoughts on these three cards.

(I'm not into overclocking myself)

Edit: I find it crazy that I pay $70 tax on any of these.

Is it just me or is Grammar slowly becoming extinct on LTT?

Get the Asus GTX 780 Direct CU II. Just because the factory OC is small doesn't mean you can't overclock it yourself. There is still more OC headroom left on it.

Nope I own 2 of them that's why I recommended it. Mine run at 1189 MHz just fine.

How are they for noise?

They are very quiet. As well as keeping the temperatures down. My cards don't go higher than 77°C

Thats insane. I have SLI 780 windforces at stock clock and they run at 75-80! Jealous.

Really? What games do you run? Also I have 2 140mm Corsair AF fans and 2 200mm Cooler Master fans blowing air into my case to my cards. I don't know if that is what is helping them that much to keep them low.

Mainly Tomb Raider, Skyrim and BF4 at the moment. I only have 2 140mm fans bringing in cold air however

60C? How? Mine runs in the low 70's at 60% fan speed

not overclocked?

Thats insane. I have SLI 780 windforces at stock clock and they run at 75-80! Jealous.

Okay so I decided to check what I was saying I will have to apologize. I stress tested my GPU's at 100% load and my fan usage was at 64%, GPU clock speed is 1189Mhz, memory at 6600 Mhz and the highest temperature I got was 76°C.

The reason I was saying I haven't seen them go higher than 60°C was because, most of the games I was playing at the time of checking my temperatures were not very demanding.
