To upgrade or not to upgrade my PSU?

With black friday coming tomorrow, i've been searching around to upgrade my system and found the following items i wish to upgrade.

Cpu: from i5-4690k to ryzen 2600x

Motherboard: from (idk) to asus rog strix b450

Ram: from 16gb ddr3 to 16gb ddr4

Since im on a budget this is what im currently looking for and will in the future upgrade to a 1070ti to use all the power of the ryzen 2600x.

My question is, do i need to upgrade my 500watt psu?

I currently have 2 monitors, mouse, keyboard, ssd and an hdd in my case and from what i can see using the calculators i will be around 1 watt over, but i don't really have the money to upgrade.

Thanks in advance :)

A 500W PSU is fine for a system with a 2600X. What GPU are you currently using?

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

If the PSU is high quality (Corsair and the likes) you'll be fine :)

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

The 1070Ti is more power efficient than the 970, so yes.

not all corsair 500 watts are good. look at the old vs series for example

I would still upgrade it, not that 500 watts is not enough, but that one is not the best quality. cx450m is on sale for 20 bucks on newegg. maybe that's something?

this will help. anything 450 watt+ and tier 3+ is your way to go here.

Oooooh. That's really helpful!

It may be more efficient, but the 970 has a 145W TDP, Vs 175W on the 1070 Ti.

OP: The TX550M is on a decent sale on Komplett right now. That's a very decent PSU.

:)
