So 4 years ago I bought a razer Mamba and lycosa, and loved them. Unfortunately I found out my motherboard was fried in shipping and I had to store them after about a year of use. I recently gotten my pc running again and my lycosa stopped working.

So I bought a standard deathstalker because it was convenient, but I didn't much care for it. Well my cat spilled my coffee on it and now I want to get back to a keyboard like the lycosa. My only issues with it were that the backlight wasn't multicolor and they media buttons didn't work to well. I really liked the low profile keys and the rubberized keys, also the functionality of it.

So, what are my options for a replacement?

I really liked my Lycosa aswell. And I had the same problems, and liked the same things about it, as what you mention. But I wasn't able to find another keyboard that could compare. I tried a Deathstalker, but I didn't like that at all.

I ended up buying a Logitech g710+ just for the sake of trying something completely different. That said, the g710+ is great and all, but I still very much enjoy my Lycosa from time to time. And had I not stuck with the Logitech g710+, then I would most likely have bought a new Lycosa :)

The only other decent keyboard, I know off. That is somewhat similar to the Lycosa. Is the Logitech Illuminated. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/illuminated-keyboard-k740?crid=26 Also a very nice keyboard.

There's also the SteelSeries Apex, but I've never tried that.

I'll try to find them, but so far the apex has my attention.

The Apex would have been my first choice for a replacement for my Lycosa if I hadn't wanted a mechanical keyboard. It's gorgeous.

If you want to try something different other than low profile keys, what about the upcoming Raptor K40? I think it has RGB LEDs, or if you're in a hurry, I'll suggest the K50.

That's as close as you can get I think, the only difference is the type of keys you like.

I've tried my brother's g15 and really can't stand the tall keys it almost hurts.

So after a lot of looking I've decided I might be willing to go mechanical if I can get low profile, backlit, and macro keys. The cherry g80-3800/3850 seem to be reasonably low profile. I would Most likely prefer black or red switches. If I can't have those 3 things then it's not worth it.

If that doesn't exist I'll be ordering an apex. Also I'm just trying to get an idea for what might be available. I won't be getting it for a few weeks so if something might be coming out soon it's an option.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
