Hi guys.

I wanted to change my case and was looking for a top silent case.

My main specifications are:

Case CM HAF 932

PSU Corsair RM850

Corsair H60 for cooling

MB Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe

CPU I7 3770k

Mem 32GB 1600Mhz

GPU GTX 680

3 SSDs (no RAID)

I mainly use it for gamming and some VMs.

My current case gives me good air flow and can maintain good temperatures.

So, my main concerne with a new case is temperature, but I understand it will be compromised since the new case will be more air restricted.

What I really wanted was to reduce noise and keep low temps.

Oh, I almost forgot. No full towers anymore.

I was checking Fractal Design Define R4, Corsair Obsidian 550D, and also Cooler Master Silencio 650. But reacently CM released the Silencio 652 and I couldn't find good reviews for it.

Now I don't know wich one is better for me.

What do you guys think, and is there a better choice out there that I don't know of?

Thanks

Define R4 LEEEJUUUN (Join us)  :P

But seriously, it is a very sleek, professional looking case. It is also very silent, with sound dampening foam on the side panels and top (top foam is removable for fans and rads). The front looks so beautiful (btw I have one), and I have no complaints.

PS - The Hard drive slides have these rubber vibration stabilizers, to reduce noise of an HDD

Gaming Rig "Project Primitus" - AMD FX-8320 CPU, Asus M5A97 R2.0 Mobo, G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB RAM @1866 MHz, WD Caviar Blue 1TB, Gigabyte Geforce GTX 760 GPU, Fractal Design Define R4 Window, Corsair CX600 PSU

Peripherals - Corsair Vengeance K70 MX Red, Logitech G402,Kingston HyperX Cloud, 21" TV, Steelseries QcK Heavy Mousepad, Macbook Pro 2012 13"

  • 2 weeks later...

What do you guys think of the Thermaltake Urban S41. It seems to be a little more thermal oriented but with some silent features too.

And also, there is the Nanoxia Deep Silence 1, wich seems to be more flexible.

Does anyone have them? Is anyone worth while?

DEFINE R4 SO BEAST! It is a very great case for the price and is super quiet. Can barely hear my pc at all with it. The Corsair 330r looks pretty good as well.Do you plan to watercool? If so, get an  Arc XL from fractal design or a Corsair 750D. You cannot beat those cases for watercooling at the prices atm

Life.exe is missing
