Just built my first pc which wasn’t too bad the IO was about an hour. Adding the cooler was 2-3 hours lmao. Everything else went by flawless but I noticed when I installed windows then Minecraft (my old pc was so bad but this surprised me) my specs are

ryzen 2600

8gb patriot viper ddr4 2666

240gb Kingston SSD

500w evga white psu

msi b450 Pro m2

rx 570 4gb

I wad getting about 150fps but felt choppy I click f3 and it keeps dipping down to 25fps-50. Minecraft crashes, fortnite does, the windows 10 experience is horrible stutters, blue screens.

I noticed chrome tabs crash like my old pc which had a memory problem but all parts are new in this build except the graphics card. I get memory management errors. Do I have to manually configure the ram or is my ram faulty? Is it possible that the motherboard slots (both) can be dead on arrival?

I have heard that updating the bios can brick a motherboard if the ram is faulty.

put 1 stick of ram in and set the memory speed as low as possible before updating.

I only have one stick and it makes my pc turn off randomly

then lower the ram speed as much as possible for stability

then update the bios

It’s running at the lowest 2133

you should be able to manually set a lower memory speed no?
