So this possibly is getting asked a million and one times.

My computer seems to be underpreforming massively in gaming, even though i'd assume my rig should be able to do a bit better.

So my build is:
Asus Prime B350-Plus (AM4)

AMD Ryzen 5 (1600)

16 GB Dual channel @ 1064MHz (15-15-15-36) (Vengeance LPX 8Gb seated in A1 & B1)

MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G

MS-Tech 750watt ATX (MS-N750-VAL-CM)

HDD's:

-Seagate 2Tb 7200 rpm

-Seagate 2Tb 5900 rpm

-Samsung 850 Evo SSD (120Gb) Raid 0 Games library

-Samsung 850 Evo SSD (120Gb) Raid 0 Games library

-Samsung 960 NVME SSD (250Gb)

Windows 10 pro (64-bit)

2 BenQ Senseye monitors (60Hz)

Yet when i play League of Legends it runs quite badly, medium high settings at 40FPS
My GPU sits on a comfy 20-30 % (@ max 60°c)

CPU at 30% max

I ran 3D Mark (Timespy) and recieved an overal 5761, which according to the site is in the 56th percentile.

But looking at the overal preformance i'm shocked.

-Graphics test 1 48FPS

-Graphics test 2 43FPS

-CPU test 8.43FPS (NOT A TYPO, acutally 8 fps)

(Uploaded a image)

Why wont my system run games at a higher FPS, it has way more to give yet it refuses to.

I have spent my fair share on google yet could not find any newer posts from someone with a Phenom II.

I do have my reservations about Nvidia's geforce experience but have allowed it to run each update it showed me, windows is also constantly updated

I'm all out of ideas and really had my doubts on going online with this, but if i'm gonna find any one who could help me, the LTT forum would be the place.

Its what speccy told me, but jumping into the detailed view, this is what it tells me.

strangely my windows task manager says 2133MHz

I loaded up the stock settings in the bios

yeah task manager is right, I forgot that sometimes programs show it as half speed because its double data rate or whatever. But still your ram is only at 2133? is that its rated speed or have you not turned on xmp?

also like firelighter said, what cpu frequency are you hitting under load? something is definitely wrong.

Ram is usually ran at Dual Data Rate, so speeds may be shown as half as they should be, so multiply by 2. As long as you have it set to XMP in bios, you should be fine.

I believe it was sticking at 1,36Ghz, base speed is rated for 3.50Ghz but the taskmanager kept it at 1.36

XMP settings unknown, i'll look it up, but would that really be the issue since only 50% is used troughout my day to day and even during the 3dmark ?

yeah that makes sense, that ram should be fully supported by your motherboard btw, its listed on the qualified vendor list

was following on that as well, found it saying its just the BIOS being buggy, amd is to blame for this they say.

Okay so as it turns out i was one version behind on my bios, tough the RAM was still set for 2100Mhz for some reason in the BIOS after the update.

Set that back the way i did before and now my ram is on the 3000Mhz

CPU is now finally running at 3,49Ghz under load, it ran up to roughly 60°c so i'll have to adress that by scaling the water cooling graph but might even be able to boost this puppy to 3.7

a.k.a IT WORKS =D

Only thing that still weirds me out is that my GPU's percentage during the 3Dmark was still at 2% troughout all tests, but my scores went up now

one more thing i'd want to nag you for, something i could not for the life of me find a solid lead on.

So the motherboard and CPU offer a set number of PCIe lanes, could i theoretically use up all those lanes by combining so many hardrives, a GTX1080, NVME SSD, causing a elgato pci capture card to not be detected anymore ?

is there like a calculator online for that sort of thing that you know of ?
