hello!

i have  been having an issue for  a while where in games, my fps will randomly drop  from smooth 100 to choppy 10-20.

and when this happens, the sound goes really distorted, i have no  idea why and ive been trying to fix it for  the past month

when it does happen my cpu usage drops and locks at around ~35%

im new with  computers so any help would be greatly appriciated

if anymore detail is needed just ask and ill try my best to get it to you :)

Is your PC's power plan set to high performance? What CPU/GPU do you have? What are CPU/GPU temps under load? Is anything overclocked? Do you only get framerate dips during intense scenes in the game, or randomly?

Your CPU is a bottleneck for your GPU

im kinda on a budget so cant spend much money. but if you could find  one that fits the socket that wont bottleneck then that would be nice :)

Budget? Note that you'll need to upgrade your whole platform so that includes your CPU, motherboard, and RAM.

ok, so i did some research, and the internet has said that an i3 - 8100 is a good pair to  go with the 1050ti

is there a motherboard you can suggest?

edit:

is 8GB of ram enough?
