Hi... Alright i got a second monitor to display as extended.. and it worked fine for about a week.. then i had to take my computer apart and do some cable management and switch the heat sink to exhaust out the back instead of the top.. and i put everything back in the case. it works fine with one display on the top dvi port. but then when i try to dual display with ..any.. other port. the top dvi just outputs a grey screen and the second one says no signal.. could the other ports be fried? Specs..

Cpu: Phenom II x4 965 BE
mobo: Asus m5a99x evo r2.0
ram: 8g kingston hyper genesis 1600
graphics: asus gtx 650 ti boost 2g
psu: corsair 500cx bronze
monitors: acer p206h 20" and asus mx239 23"
some input would nice. like i said was working fine for a week.. and yes i have checked all connections to make sure they're secure numerous times.

another thing to note.. as soon as a second cable is plugged in the vga led and boot device led turns red.

Hi again.. I have not got a chance to try the card in a second rig yet.. but doing a little testing it seems strange.. only one port works period. the dvi-i port.. even if i just plug in my main monitor to either hdmi or the dvi-d port nothing happens the monitor stays asleep and when powering down the computer it acts up and powers down about 25 seconds after i hit the button.. but when i try dual monitor my main screen becomes a grey screen and the second monitor says no signal.. but it lets me see the bios on the the monitor plugged into the dvi-i port but then when booting into windows right after the splash screen it turn into no signal.. Have you heard/experienced anything similar to this? does it sound like a bad graphics card? or more of a mobo/cpu.. other than this it runs fine.. right now i am using it.. i can game on it fine.. temps are fine.. thanks in advance.

sorry also when I plug just one monitor into the dvi-d port I get the red vga led and it stays on and i just get single beeps every 15-20 seconds.. the boot device led as well. but when i try both monitors i don't get that it tries to boot into windows then just hangs..

This is odd as the gpu seems to work with one display attached but once a second one is connected it dies?

this could be a bad bios on the actuall gpu its self or a bad driver try a new driver install from freash, it that does not work as funny as it sounds have you tried diffrent cables because if there is a short in the cable it can cause a malfunction, unlikly by the way your discribing it.

Your most likly leading towards a bad gpu as it worked for a week then died something could have killed it i would attempt to try it in a second computer to see if the same results occour but try a driver reinstall a clean one as in uninstall the old ones
