Potential PC Upgrade Ideas

Hello! I was wondering if I could get any tips from you wonderful people on upgrades for my PC. It works wonderfully now, but I was wondering what paths I should take to move performance up, without any large single purchases. Any help would be appreciated! Specs are as follows:

 

Intel i5 6600k Quad Core

Asus Z170-A Motherboard

Zotac AMp! Edition GTX 1060 6gb

GEIL Forza 8x2 DDR4 RAM 2133mhz

DEEPCOOL Gamerstorm Captain 240 AIO

128 gb ZOTAC SSD

3 tb of mechanical storage

Nvme drive

Better graphics card

Better cpu

DRIVES:500GB Samsung 970 Pro + Patriot Blast 480GB x2 + 12tb RAID10 NAS

MONITORS:Pixio PX329 32inch 1440p 165hz, LG 34UM68-p 1080p 75hz

the graphics card goes first. Atm 1070ti, 1080, Vega 56 and 64 are all attractive deals. $400.

 

8700k + Z370/Z390 mobo, $450-550

 

larger capacity SSD. Maybe use new SSD as boot drive, old SSD as scratch disk for video editing or game SSD. $60-90

If I was to upgrade to an 8700k, would you think it would be a good idea to upgrade the RAM, alongside the CPU and Mobo?

if you have money left after the other items, then why not? You can make your current sticks run faster too by overclocking and adjusting timings.
