i know that by simple math the 1/2" would need to be shaved down 0.25mm all around to make it 12mm.

But that isn't my Question. Any one have experience with using 12/10 in a 1/2by3/8th..

Darn Americans just got to be different.

Now i got both sizes lying around here, but not enough stuff to bother with testing a loop.  So before i get that far, Should i even bother trying the .5mm smaller Metric tube in the Imperial fitting?  I mean it is the O-ring doing the sealing in the first place.

Unless u get Monsoon Ev2 fittings, hardline fittings are only sealed by the fit of the tubing and the fittings. So you really dont want a loose fit.

My advise, if u can get Monsoon Ev2 fittings, get them as they work with both imperial and metric tubing.

Ok that's what I wasn't sure about. I can source Imperial tube.  Just metric is cheaper..  but I'd rather a better seal than save a few bucks compareitvly.

I also have Darkside 10/12mm hardline that's why I have both tub @SolarNova

Yea i'd say just get the Monsoon Ev2 fittings, they come in 2 sizes, small (11.8mm-13.2mm) and large (15.2mm - 16.2mm).

Between them they cover all sizes used in PC cooling, u just use their included sizeing tool (bassicaly a cardboard cutout u put your tube into) which letsy ou know which are the correct o-rings to use (they come with 3 sizes in the 'smaller' fititngs, and 2 sizes with the larger ones), 2 orings inside the fittings + 1 on the outer thread, and a ferrule that tightens down onto the tube as you tighten the fitting down, resulting in a snug fit for what ever size tubing u use that falls within the range the product is designed for.
