What is the difference between Corsair's LUX and non LUX keyboards.

K70 MK2

K70 LUX

There are some key differences between K70 LUX and MK.2 keyboards.  MK.2 took all the features from the flagship K95 Platinum and put them in a K70 form factor.

  • Hardware Playback - (3) lighting and remap profiles can be saved to the keyboard, and used without the software running
  • Programmable RGB Logo at the top
  • Revised Media Keys - More pronounced and easier to press; similar to the K95 Platinum RGB
  • Cable Management X Channels on the back - route mouse or headset cables under the keyboard to the corners for a cleaner battle station

All of the standard MK.2 keyboards use the Cherry MX switches as the LUX models.  A Brown switch on the MK.2 will be the same look and feel as a Brown switch on a LUX, and so on.  Let me know if you have any questions about either of the keyboards, and I can help you out.

The silent one used Cherry Brown switches, it supposed to be non clicky.

The other is cherry mx red, a non tactile and have slight sound, but still not as clicky as blue switches.

If you're a gamer, the red is better than blue or brown, as you get faster response.

If you're a typist you might wanna go with the brown if you like silent and blue if you're into the clicky sound.

I asked because Corsair has the LUX for $110.

There is no better switch based on being gamer or typist

Its based on user plain and simple
