Do you get more fps when you record with elgato than when you record without it?

Hello!

 

I was wondering if do you get more fps when you record with elgato or when you record without elgato?

Is there an improvement in fps when you record with elgato?

If you have an Elgato HD Pro and use their software to record it then you won't see a performance hit because the HD Pro has a hardware encoder built in. Having used their software before though I don't recommend it.
