So long story short water got on my laptop and it works now. Before, I tried switching the ram sticks to see if one was broken. Each one didn't work then worked are they find or should I get new sticks. Also the hard drive "seems" to be working but currently chkdsk is stuck on 11 percent should I just get a new computer? The model is the Inspiron 15 7559 with i5-6300hq and GTX 960m 4gb.

I think that the computer is saveable... but DON'T TURN IT ON!!! Make sure that you dis-assemble the computer, and let the parts air dry. If you are not comfortable with taking it apart, just open it up, and let it dry for a few days. The more the better. Only then should you reassemble the computer and test it.

Note: the hard disk may not be salvagable, because most physical hard drives have a small hole through which the hard drive can maintain pressure.
