I mainly play CSGO which to my knowledge is a fairly easy game to run and this is were the issue starts. None of my components max out while playing which should be a good thing right? Then why aren't I getting more frames than around 60-130fps ?

My cpu stays around 70-80% usage whilst playing CSGO, my ram never goes past 6gb usage and my gpu never goes beyond 40% usage. Is the lack of utilization of hardware due to the source engine being outdated? Because other higher end systems are getting more frames but if the problem is due to a lack of utilization of hardware shouldn't they be bottlenecked too so why is my framerate so low.?

I don't think the issue is due to throttling as well because my gpu never goes beyond 75 degrees and same with the cpu.

My Integrated GPU is turned off from the BIOS as well, same with amd cool and quiet.

*First Time post, Don't Judge thanks.*

Also low key AMD are quite scummy for lying about the A8 7600 they claim it's a "quad core" when it's just a dual core with hyper threading.

Components-

A8 7600 3.1ghz - 3.7ghz boost *Often boosts and stays there under load*

Gtx 760 2gb *Gigabyte Windforce*

8GB Ram 1600mhz

550w psu

I have a single stick of ram and I don't know which slot it's in, would that affect the performance?

It could. I've read reports of people switching over to dual channel ram seeing higher utilization numbers in games, but I've also read reports of it doing nothing. The single stick or ram could be your bottleneck. It could also be the 2gb of ram on the video card (which is a bit low for modern games.)

75 degrees seems hot to me, but I've never used AMD so I'm not sure. You should use some sort of monitoring program to tell if your cpu or gpu is throttling.

When I play I use rivatuner from MSI afterburner with its OSD monitering I check the clock speeds/memory speeds for my gpu and that doesn't throttle whereas the cpu I didn't really pay attention because I expected a 65tdw cpu to stay cool, but another issue I have is that my bios is telling me that my cpu idles at 70 degrees which made me replace the thermal paste *Chinese stuff albeit* and clean the cooler, still 70 degrees so I went into AMD overdrive and it says on idle I have a thermal of 60 degrees + meaning that my cpu is 60 degrees away from it's max operating temprature ... which means it's no where near 70 degrees idle.

That sounds... bad. Use a program like HWInfo, it'll tell you if your cpu is throttling. And you can make it record while gaming.

Your CPU overall usage is at 70-80% but if that's total usage and single threads are taken up, it's still a bottleneck. Try changing the CPU usage graph in task manager to logical processors.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
