Is there any reason I should be worried about plugging a display into a smart plug?

I have 5 displays and it gets annoying clicking the power button on all 5 separately every time I sit down to use my PC. I've got an extra smart plug and a power bar laying around, thinking I plug all the displays into the power bar and then the power bar into the switch.

Any reason I shouldn't do this? Can cutting the power from a display while it's turned on hurt it?

Shouldn't be a problem but you can just leave the displays in sleep mode and not turn them off, they use little to no power and will just wake up when the system turns on.

Sweet thanks.

I also have a TV that I use independent of the other displays but it's still connected to the same PC. So if I throw YouTube up there to sit back and watch something I have to manually turn off all the other displays or disable them in Windows or something.

This seems like the most convenient option.

You may be able to use a shortcut in that case, Try hitting the windows key + P it allows you to reconfigure the display outputs.
