GPU from Ebay

Hi guys, I´m thinking about the new GPU. I think that used GTX 1080ti is a best deal now, but I never bought a hardware from Ebay and I´m afraid, that someone will scam me. So I´m asking you if buying the GPU from Ebay is a good idea, or not. My second question is, that I live in Germany and I don´t know how it´s working with taxes and customs.

I can't address taxes, imports, or customs for certain, though it's likely there will be some form of import duty/tax/additional payment.

If you plan to purchase off of eBay, just be sure to read the description, including the condition, for any potential issues the card may have.
Look for a seller that has positive reviews, everyone has to start somewhere, however a new seller, or sellers with only a few sales/feedback do carry a theoretical higher risk.
Ask them about their return policy (if not stated) on faulty products and/or products claiming to be something they aren't. (it's possible to falsify a card as one thing (1080ti), when it's something else (1060, 970, 960, ETC, ETC with a modified BIOS and shroud.)

Also consider something like hardwareswap over on Reddit.
